Design Services Framework (DSF)

Electrification & Plant Distribution - Design and Consultancy Services

Navitas Engineering have been awarded a contract on Network Rail’s £640 million Design Services Framework and have been chosen by Network Rail to provide Electrification and Plant – Distribution Design (E&PD) in the South West region.

The E&PD work delivered through the framework and required in the region will include the following:

•  Substation design;

• SCADA system design;

• Electromagnetic compatibility studies;

• System planning;

• Network modelling;

• Safety Case development & review;

• Electrical Safety Management;

• HV distribution & cable route.

The DSF aims to provide Network Rail with access to a wider range of skilled suppliers in order to improve assurance, access a greater range of expertise, boost business and safety performance and foster innovation. The award of the framework contract demonstrates Navitas Engineering’s ability to produce high quality designs, and provide technical consultancy and engineering support across a range of disciplines.
