- Earthing and Bonding – Design Support and Consultancy Services

In partnership with Permarail Ltd, Navitas Engineering was engaged by BBMV to provide design and consultancy services throughout the enabling works at Whitechapel station for the provision of the new Crossrail station.

Navitas Engineering prepared and managed a comprehensive earthing management plan that incorporates earthing impact assessments for each stage of the project. Activities have included extensive site surveys and the production of detailed earthing and bonding schematics.

A particular challenge of this project was to manage changes to the earthing and bonding system in a location where 3 electrification types will be in close proximity; namely 4th rail d.c. London Underground, 3rd rail d.c. London Overground and 25 kV a.c. overhead Crossrail lines.
